We generally meet the 4th Thursday of every month from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at The Distillery Building offices, 516 East Second Street. Action Teams focus on specific issues and meet periodically between monthly meetings.

Energy Savings and Climate Action
To get started on saving energy, consider getting your home’s energy efficiency checked out for free by the City of Boston’s Renew Boston program. If you live in a building with fewer than 5 units, you can sign up online or call 617-635-SAVE (7283). If you live in a larger building ask you building owner, manager, or condo association board member to call the Mass Save Multi-Family program at 800-594-7277 or online!

Littering/Beautification/Teens
Linda Doran at South Boston Community Health Center welcomes supportive adults to work with the South Boston Youth Ambassadors on their West Broadway beautification project, litter clean up and more. Meetings every Tuesday evening. More info at www.ihcsb.org.

Public Transit and Environmental Justice
Louise Baxter from ACE/T Riders Union welcomes everyone to contact Alternatives for Community and Environment (ACE) with concerns about bus routes. She also welcomes everyone to attend ACE meetings. Community Gardens/Food for those in need
Phoebe Flemming from South Boston Grows welcomes volunteers at the beautiful community garden at Saint Monica’s at 70 Devine Way. During growing and harvesting season, free produce is distributed to those who need it. More info at www.southbostongrows.org. New West Broadway garden arrived in 2012. Please pitch in!

Farmers Market
The South Boston Farmers Market is every Monday through most of the Spring, Summer and Fall from noon - 6 pm at 446 W. Broadway. $10 of free food when you use an EBT card. Learn more here.
